ICMA provides Crystal Cruises with only the best of Scandinavian and International engine officers.
All newly hired engine officers begin their career with Crystal Cruises as Second Engineer.
Exceptions can be made based on experience and the Company's needs.
Promotion to higher positions is done internally within the Company.
Second Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Electronics Engineers and Refrigeration Engineers
are selected according to their schooling and previous experience. Candidates with previous passenger ship experience are generally preferred, however all applications are carefully considered.

Crystal Cruises offers:
- 1:1 sailing rotation, approx. 13 weeks on followed by 13 weeks off.
- Wages paid in US dollars, 12 months per year.
- Medical insurance coverage for the seafarer 12 months per year.
- Excellent pension programme after 12 months of initial employment.
- Merit pay after 2 years of continuous employment.
- Excellent bonus programme for senior positions.
Requirements for Employment:
- Valid Engine Officer certificate issued by your national authority, valid for minimum 12 months from date of hire.
- Electrical, Electronics and Refrigeration Engineers must be in possession of a valid STCW-95 safety certificate.
- Very good English language skills.
- Employment is not final until a rigorous Company medical examination is successfully completed.
- Willing to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
- Willing to undergo a background check.
