ICMA is a fully owned subsidiary of NYK Line (Nippon Yusen Kaisha) of Tokyo, established in 1989 to provide complete crew management services for the cruise liners of NYK's two cruise companies, Crystal Cruises in Los Angeles and NYK Cruises in Tokyo.
